We've got:
Women's Downhill,
Men's and Women's curling, Freestyle skiing--men's moguls,
Men's hockey,
Luge,
Nordic combined,
Men's and Women's team speed skating,
and short track (I'm sorry but what is that? some sort of ice skating? )
Now it seems to me they don't televise EVERYTHING... they had some biathalon stuff yesterday and they didn't televise that... which sucks because I like it! or do they put the slow sports, like biathalon and curling, durign the day?
I know they can't televise all of every event... but I saw NO biathalon at all yesterday, not even highlights

Re: Tonight's events
Wed, February 15, 2006 - 8:50 PMman hum... you missed quite a night last night, as you can tell from the ferocious posting of kitty and myself LOL
I actually BLEW OFF my date last night when I found out waht the events were... I am NOT joking... I texted him and said "I'm not going ANYWHERE tonight... it's the men's alpine combined!"
he was mightly disappointed.... but seems the more i do to try to gently brush him off, the more interested in me he becomes.... boys!! ugh!
okay, roger on that roger... BUT there was biathloning going on yesterday and they did not show one little bit of it on tv, so I still say "what gives?"
tonight is turning out to be Mogul-rific, I must say!

Re: Tonight's events
Wed, February 15, 2006 - 9:26 PMokay, I ALMOST said that, but then i didn't want to offend anyone if I was wrong lol
see the thing is, I'm not playing games or TRYING to whup him, like some girls do... i've never done that... ever.... I can't do it, because it doesn't come naturally to me to pretend to feel one way, when I actually feel the another..
it's just that though he's good in bed, and sometimes fun to hang out with too, and I like him alright... I just genuinely do not care one way or another whether this thing continues or not... if he wants to keep it going, fine... if he doesn't just as fine.. makes no never mind to me either way....
and so, i'm not trying to please him in everything i do... i do what i feel like at all times... if I feel like seeing him, i do... and if i want to do something else instead i do... and if i am willing to see him if he comes to my place, but i'm not willing to go to his, i just say so... and if he decides to come over, great and if he doesn't, also great, cuz i get the whole bed to myself.....
know what i mean? somehow, though I gained 10 lbs over the holidays, stopped wearing make - up and started to dress in jeans and t-shirts and flannels most of the time, i've got this guy dying to see me whenever i'm willing, sticking around even when I break a date because I'd rather watch tv, and etc... and this guy is very good looking, ten years younger than me, and got the ducats like you wouldn't believe
and also more other men after me then i've had in ages....
so again, i say, what is up with boys? LOL is it really all about the attitude, as I've always heard? *laughs* I am seriously floored... i keep thinking he'll get fed up and walk
hell, tonight he went skiing with his ex and joked that he'd "try to keep his dick in his pants" (she's dying to get at him again, called and/or texted him 5 times in an hour last weekend begging for it) i said, "hey, whatever, i'm not worried" he just now called me from the slopes and he's having her drop me off at my apt when he's done!!!
good lord... i guess i'm going to have to just flat out tell him to blow if that's what i want LOL
ya'll mystify me, you really do

Did you blow him off before or after you told him you were staying home. 'Cause it wouldn't matter to me at that point. Blow me off and tell me to go away and I'm happy. That's my dream date!

Re: Tonight's events
Thu, February 16, 2006 - 8:18 PMYou know, when I came up with that it was Humbucker. That's a brand of electric guitar pickup. Then I shortend it. Now I kind of like it. I never once thought of Hummer. What the hell, I don't care. It's all good. -

Re: Tonight's events
Fri, February 17, 2006 - 6:09 PMMost people are out having a good time because it's Friday. But not me! As usual, I'm at home with the wife and kids. Watching the Skeleton. Where did they come with the name for that? Maybe because that's how they end up if they wreck. Track record 77 MPH. No problem. Hell, I could slide down on my ass at 50. Once! -
-
Re: Tonight's events
Fri, February 17, 2006 - 7:45 PMyeah, i think the skeleton is a relatively new event? at least i don't remember it from when I was a kid????
I think its because that little sled isn't much more than a pile of bones... head first at 70 + mph sheesh o rama!

Fri, February 17, 2006 - 9:11 PMAnd cows will fly and I will win the lottery. If I do win, get ready baby, were having one hell of a party.
Can you believe that bone head move by Lindsey Jaycobellis at the end of the race that cost her the gold? I bet she wishes she had that back. -
-
Re: Tonight's events
Fri, February 17, 2006 - 10:02 PMum , i was getting ready to go out, but i was listening and half watching... didn't she win? or at least come second?
this is still the trials, quarter finals... the 1st and 2nd place move to the semi-finals, so even if she was second place... she moves on up
-
-
Re: Tonight's events
Fri, February 17, 2006 - 10:03 PMand in fact, they definitely said she was moving up to the semi - finals, so she's not out of it yet... -

Re: Tonight's events
Sat, February 18, 2006 - 6:18 AMBARDONECCHIA, Italy (AP) -- Lindsey Jacobellis won over legions of fans and promoters to the new Olympic sport of snowboardcross.
What she didn't do was win the race. She lost it -- in astonishing fashion -- a jaw-dropping collapse that will go down as one of the most unforgettable moments of the 2006 Winter Games.
The famous, articulate, endorsement-rich 20-year-old American pulled a flamboyant -- but unnecessary -- "backside method grab" on the second-to-last jump on the course then crashed. Members of the U.S. team at the finish line and American flag-waving fans in the grandstand, who thought a gold medal victory was a certainty, were left to gasp in open-mouthed amazement.
Everyone else shouted anxiously as Jacobellis scrambled to get up and save her run, only to be passed by Swiss boarder Tanja Frieden, who had fallen far behind while tangling with another rider higher up on course.
"I was having fun," Jacobellis said. "Snowboarding is fun. I was ahead. I wanted to share my enthusiasm with the crowd. I messed up. Oh well, it happens."
